“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” – Mary Oliver
You are a recovering workaholic and there’s something I need to remind you of – you are irreplaceable. One day you will die and someone will do this job you love and devote so much time and energy to, with as much excellence and finesse as you. He/she may even do it better.
That said….today, be the best version of yourself. Live your truth, make all the waves, be intimidating, be vocal, be loud, laugh as long and as hard as you want, let go of grudges, and resist the urge to be petty AF every ten minutes (be petty once an hour…remember, moderation is key ;).
You are too big to make yourself small because it makes some people uncomfortable,
Let your bright light shine and give others the courage to shine as well,
Trust God, trust yourself and trust the process you’re in,
Love God, love yourself and love the people God has blessed you with.
And later today, when the priest crosses your forehead with ash, remember that indeed ‘you are but dust and onto dust you shall return.’ So make every single day count, starting from today.
My dear brave, bold, wacky, opinionated, passionate, fiercely loyal Kwakyewa….“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
